For over 15 years we've had the privilege of working with students and adults in a variety of special education settings. Helping students and clients reach their maximum independence is our top priority. By teaching students academic skills, functional work skills, communication skills and independent living skills we can help set them up for success! Being parents of a child with a disability we realize the importance of these skills and how instruction and training play a critical role in overall development.
Educational Services
Advocacy Services
ARD/ 504 document review, individualized recommendations, creation of appropriate IEP goals, clarification of rights are services under TEA guidelines
Paperwork Review: $45 per hour
Conference: $75 per hour

ARD/504 Representation
Areas of specialization: Deaf Education, Deaf-Blindness, Orientation & Mobility, Autism, Self-contained instruction, PPCD, Inclusion
Initial: $250, includes goal writing
Annual/Review: $150, includes goal writing

Classroom Observations: $45 per hour

Budgeting and Finance Training
Various courses (i.e. budgeting, balancing a checking account, deposits, withdraws, use of credit/debit, payroll, savings plan development)
$45 per hour

Educational Training
One-one support tailored to the individual client (i.e. tutoring, reteach, test prep, note taking assistance, transcription, schedule planning)
Early Childhood-Elementary School: $35 per hour
Middle School: $45 per hour
High School and Adult services: $45 per hour
Session minimum- one hour per week, limited to one session per day
Independent Living Skills Training
Various Courses (i.e. laundry, general cleaning, organization, basic cooking, grocery planning, bill payment)
Individual: $45 per hour
Group: $35 per hour- limited availability
Course length- varies based on individual needs, generally four weeks
Orientation and Mobility Training
Independent travel skills training using travel aids (i.e. rigid cane and night shades)
Individual: $75 per hour
Group: $50 per hour- limited availability Session minimum- two hours, limited to one session per day
Social Skills Training
Soft skills needed for work and social settings, includes manners and etiquette
Individual: $35 per hour | Group: $25 per hour- limited availability
Course length- varies based on individual needs, generally five weeks
Travel Training
Training to utilize public transportation services (i.e. bus, train, taxi, ride share, Para-transit)
Individual: $30 per hour | Group: $25 per hour- limited availability
Time aries depending on experience with public transportation, generally one week
Vocational Skills Training
Basic job skills (i.e. stocking, packaging, general office, general cleaning, order processing, basic restaurant skills)
Individual: $40 per hour | Group: $30 per hour- limited availability
Session minimum- two hours, limited to one session per day
Course length- varies per course, generally five weeks
Work Skills Training
Basic office skills (i.e. Typing, Copy Machine, Fax, 10 Key, Internet Search Engines, Email, Word and Excel)
Individual: $45 per hour | Group: $35 per hour- limited availability
Course length- varies per course, generally five weeks
Pre-Employment Services
Individualized Transition Assessment
Individualized planning with input from client, guardian and current supports to determine a realistic post- secondary plan and requirements to attain client goal
$350 per assessment
Session length varies based on individual needs, generally two–four hours

Career Coaching (i.e. job exploration, interest survey, future planning)

Supported Employment Services

Employment Based Attendant Care Services
Supervision and monitored care for daily activities with limited personal care tasks (i.e. hygiene assistance, medication supervision, companionship care and meal preparation) at a work training or adult day-hab facility

Errand Services

$20 per half hour, within a 20 mile (one-way), $1 per additional mile

Medication Management
Supervised administration of pre measured medications, documentation services, filling of medication dispensers
$25 first visit for orientation with client | $15 per administration

Respite Care Services
Infant to Elderly respite care with limited personal care tasks (i.e. hygiene assistance, laundry, light cleaning, companionship care and meal preparation)
$25 per hour | $20 per hour for multiple hour visits
Pre-arranged with a minimum of one hour notice
Transportation/Ride Share Services
Pickup and Drop-off services (Door to Door), will walk in to ensure safe arrival
$20 with a 15 mile radius (one-way), $1 per additional mile
Pre-arranged with a minimum of one hour notice
We have years of experience working in classroom settings with students from PPCD through post high school training programs and adults. We have been able to teach academic courses as well as vocational training programs and employment preparation as well.
Through our work we have also learned to navigate the often complex, but beneficial processes of local and state programs of support.
Serving as an advocate for multiple clients to ensure delivery of services and creation of specific programs for each individual client is an important job we are proud to have a role in.
Through our work experience and coursework we have extensive training in working with the following populations: Intellectually Disabled, Learning Disabilities, Physically Disabled, Deaf/Hard of Hearing, Deaf-Blind, Autism, Sensory Integration Disorders, Behavioral Challenged and Blind/Low Vision.
Additionally, we are fluent in both English and Spanish, can communicate in ASL, utilize CART technology and read/transcribe Braille. Currently we hold certification through ACVREP as an Orientation and Mobility Specialist as well as additional certifications for Employment Services through the University of North Texas.
Serving as a valued member of the client team to help them achieve their personal goals for employment and independence is my greatest honor.
